Stephen Toups is Executive Vice President of Turner Industries Group, LLC. Turner is one of the largest privately held industrial contractors in the nation with 56 years of experience employing 20,000 people annually. He is in his 20th year with the company and has served in many capacities.
Mr. Toups currently serves on the national boards of SingleStop USA in New York and the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER), the Board of Supervisors for the Louisiana Community & Technical College System, on the Federal Reserve Board’s Energy Council, the board of the Economic Alliance for the Houston Port Region, and the board of the Rice University Global E & C Forum. He just completed his term as chairman of the Capital Area United Way.
In 2014, he was recognized as a Volunteer Activist, and by the Associated Builders and Contractors’ Bayou Chapter as Construction Leader of the year.
He has served as chairman of the Baton Rouge area Workforce Investment Board, and as a chairman of the Louisiana Private Employer Council. Toups is a graduate of Louisiana State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance and his MBA. He currently serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council for the LSU Business School and is the Louisiana Trooper Foundation Area Director for Troop A.
